Hi there,
I have a query regarding Indesign CC. I would still be able to save on the local machine, right? With regards to saving to cloud, is there a way to disable this?
Thanks.
Hi,
Yes with InDesign CC, you can save your InDesign files to your local machine, your local server or the cloud.

Hi there,
Is there any way to disable the option to sync files to cloud (make it grayed out, maybe) so that users won't have the ability to change it? Is there a registry key that controls these options?
Thanks!

Like the Creative Suite version of InDesign, InDesign CC is an application that's installed locally on your machine. It opens and saves files to your machine, just like older versions did.
There is some Creative Cloud storage that works like Dropbox (they both store the files locally and sync them to the cloud so they can also be accessed by other computers, etc), but you do not have to use it. Just don't save into the special Creative Cloud folder.

As previous posters have explained, the application is installed on your computer in the usual way. But it's vital that – as well as saving your files to your local drive – you back up your important documents to an external source, such as the cloud, CD, and /or external drive, so that if your computer breaks, is stolen or whatever, you can carry on working on another computer and you don't loose your work.
