I have an InDesign document that I export to a PDF.

I want to make an image inside my document so that when you click on it in the PDF it will open a url.

How do I set up the image to do that in InDesign so that after I export it to a PDF that it will do this?

You have to export as Adobe PDF (Interactive)

    Convert it to a button.

I have tried converting it to a button with and making it click to go to a url with no success.

Maybe I am doing it wrong.

I will attach an image that show how I set by button up and it also show my export box for PDF.

If you see anything that I am doing wrong, please let me know.

You can also try making the image into a Hyperlink which will work with a regular Print pdf. With the image selected enter a web address into the URL: field of the Hyperlinks panel (first picture below). It will then show up as an entry in that panel. Then when you export to an Adobe pdf (print) make sure that Hyperlinks is checked in the Export Adobe PDF dialog that appears (second picture). When you open the pdf in Acrobat you will be able to click on it and it will launch your default browser and go to the web site. You may get a warning dialog asking you if you want to allow this action, say Yes.

I tried doing this Bill but I could not get it to work as a regular print PDF. It will only work if I saver it as an interactive PDF.
