SmartStream designer for InDesign cs3

Hello,

Does anyone have a link to the SmartStream for Indesign cs3 plugin?
My company only has the cs3 suite and the plugin would be a great service to us!
I searched everywhere, I even sent a message to HP but no response. I can only find the recent version.

    You are in luck! We have the installer for SSD CS3 still with us! CS3 is still working with us for Windows 10 x64 22H2.

    Dont trust me and scan it with your antivirus as usual, but it shouldn't have any malware.

     

    This is the time HP just started to rebrand the software from YoursTruly to SmartStream Designer. This is the reason its native output file is called JLYT 😉

      Well... I probably can't tell you anything you don't know about running really obsolete software on an obsolete OS. 🙂

       

      Have you looked for the discs that came with the printers?

       

      Have you tried installing the current version, even though it's for Windows 10?

       

      Maybe someone here or elsewhere has a 20-year-old utility in their archives, but I'd bet you're out of luck and out of time with that app.

      Indeed I tried to install the latest version and InDesign cs3 refuses the plugin on startup. I installed InDesign CS3 on Windows 10 and the software works perfectly. That's what I'm thinking, if anyone has an archive and can send it to me that would be nice 🙂

      I don't recall a plugin, specifically — do you mean a print control interface, more advanced than ID's regular printer? That wouldn't necessarily be ID-specific. Give your post here a little time — keep checking back for a few days — but you might have better luck asking in HP user forums or the like for someone who's archived all the drivers and utilities back to daisywheel printers. They're out there. 🙂
