Hello,

I made a table of contents of that type

name..............page number

with more than a hundred lines, but I now need to sort that list alphabetically without losing my layout. I just don't find at all how to make it and it's driving me crazy.

I tried the script "sortparagraphs" but it doesn't do anything else than freezing InDesign.

Can someone help me please?

Correct answer Barb Binder

Did you generate the TOC using InDesign's Layout > Table of Contents feature? If so, just click on More Options and choose Sort Entries in Alphabetical Order and click Update.
