I'm getting this issue where when I make any changes to text within a text box, like typing within it, cutting/pasteing, editing, etc. the text disappears. Sometimes it'll come back if I click out of the text box. Sometimes it comes back if I switch between normal and preview mode.
It doesn't happen every time, but often enough to be incredibly annoying.
I'm running:

This is currently a widespread issue on Windows (along with the problem with disappearing undo steps). Both issues are being discussed here:
The problem is currently under investigation by Adobe. There's no known solution yet.

Hello @marcin_7950,
I'm sorry to hear you're having similar trouble with InDesign. Could you please confirm the version of the OS installed, if this issue occurs with all files/fonts, and provide a small screen recording of the problem, so we can better assist you?
Looking forward to hearing from you.

Windows 11. I'm seeing this in a document with a lot of text. There are three fonts in the block: the body text, subheadings, and titles. They all disappear. When I enabled separation preview, the problem stopped, but working with separation preview enabled is slower.

Hi @marcin_7950,
Thank you for providing the information. Could you please verify if the GPU Performance feature is enabled on your system? If it is, try disabling it, restart InDesign, and see if the behavior changes. To eliminate any potential interference from third-party applications or background processes, I recommend testing this in Windows Safe Mode and then launching InDesign to check if the issue persists. Reference: https://adobe.ly/4qjmJqy
Additionally, please log out of the Creative Cloud desktop application and log back in, then clear the font cache and test again. You can refer to this guide for detailed instructions: https://adobe.ly/4j2O2Th
Furthermore, try temporarily disabling the Preflight option from the Preflight panel and share your observations (Window > Output > Preflight).
Finally, could you let me know if this issue occurs only in the specific document you mentioned or in other files as well? If it's confined to one file, you can send the affected document to me via DM using any cloud sharing service like Dropbox or Google Drive if the file is sensitive.
I look forward to your response.
Abhishek

Hi, This happens regardless of the font or document. I don't have preflight enabled. I've reset Indesign settings and changed my graphics card settings. I can only work with separation preview enabled.

Thanks for the response! I use it for work, so I cannot post a screen grab on a public forum. I have a recording I can send to a helpdesk though.
