Question

Text on some pages displaying lighter than on others

I have an indesign book with 200 plus pages, and on all the pages that have a certain master page applied, they are lighter than those that have the other master applied. There isn't any images or anything on either of the pages, masters, etc., it is all text, and the text is all the same color and tint, including in the styles. They are showing up these two different colors both in Indesign and when exported.

I'm stumped.

When you have the master page styles applied on all pages in the book, the paragraph style of the text should be the same (please check anyways). But what could have happend is that on some text there is an additional character style on top of the paragraph style applied which in or decreases the font weight. It does look different.

Have you got transparency on the pages?
