Yesterday I was working on that file and everything is okay I even export it the PDF and I saved it. Today when I open the file I got that error and the Indesign just crashed and show that "The file is damaged (Error Code:3).

Have anyone experienced this before.

I'll submit the crash report for more detail.

Hi

You can sent the file to Adobe at this email address:

corrupt_indesign_docs@adobe.com

If the file is larger than 10 Mb, you can zip (and password protect) the file and upload to Creative Cloud account (or Dropbox) and email the document link.

  1. Launch INDD application.
  2. Go to File < Open < Select the InDesign file < Copy < Rename the InDesign file name.
  3. Once you rename the file, check whether the problem is solved or not.

I Just did this and it recovered my file.

I did somehting similar (but maybe the same?):

  1. Launch INDD application.
  2. Go to File > Open > Select the InDesign file > Open a Copy > InDesign offered to repair the file.
  3.  Luckily the file was repaired and could be saved under a new name.
  4. Once you rename the file, check whether the problem is solved or not.

If the file is damaged you have go backward to the last version in your backup which is not damaged. No other way round. So you will be happy that you make backups on a regular base.
