Hi, same problem here all day. All other apps work except PS, AI, ID.
<Title renamed by moderator>
Hi everyone,
We’ve received reports of apps crashing or becoming unresponsive after launch, particularly following the release of version 19.5. Unlike generic crashes, this issue specifically causes all Adobe apps to get stuck at the splash screen or enter a “not responding” state, preventing them from launching.
The problem has been traced to certain Beta Adobe applications related to video composition and editing. We recommend updating all Beta and released versions of video-specific Adobe

Same problem here as the others have. PS, AI, IN unable to start, gets stuck on start-up window. Tried to start program in all of the different ways (opening file, start menu, creative cloud app). Problem started today wed 07.08.2024 a couple of hours ago after force restarting the computer due to a sudden Windows blue screen error while using Premier. After the problem started, updated from windows 10 to 11, reinstalled AI (28.6) and IN latest, did not help, tried IN older versions (19.5), did not help. Please help, I have deadlines to catch up!

Hi,
I've been encountering this problem lately too - second time today. Reinstalling the apps seperately did not fix the problem so I had to use the CC Cleaner tool to reinstall all my CC apps. First time this happened when I installed the Pantone Connect app, that seemed to be messing things up in ID, AI and PS (other apps where still working).
After the reinstall, I was good for a good week until today when I was working in AI and suddenly the same problem occured. That Pantone app was not the problem this time. I had no 3rd party apps running or installed.
Anyone know a fix? I don't want to reinstall CC again. This is delaying my daily work to a very inconvenient level.
Thank you,
Roel

Hello @rlmbrt,
We understand that encountering technical issues can be frustrating. Would you mind confirming if you have any beta Adobe apps installed on your computer? If yes, kindly try the following steps to check if they help:- Close all Adobe applications
- Uninstall any installed Beta apps from Creative Cloud ( https://adobe.ly/3WRt14B)
- Relaunch the affected application. If the problem persists, try removing InDesign using the Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool ( https://adobe.ly/3AiJzK8) and then reinstalling and share your observations.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
Thank you,
Abhishek Rao

Hello, I've been having the same problem for a few days now with all the other applications working except PS, AI and ID.
And as I'm working on some projects that need to be done, this is difficult to manage.
Thank you

It worked yesterday at the end of the day and was non-functional this morning when I came in.
1. Using Version 19.5 on Windows 11, version 23H2
With all Quality Updates installed, last one being 2024-07 Cumulative Update Preview for Windows 11 Version 23H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5040527) on 7/26/24
Have also tried using 19.4, 18.5.3, and 18.0
2. It is not crashing, it's getting stuck on "Loading Shortcuts" and then gradually eating all the RAM in my system.
I've tried the resets on the article you shared.
3. I don't receive a crash report to submit as I have to use the task manager to terminate the program.

I am also experiencing this and none of the suggested workarounds are working for me. It just continuously loads until it finally uses up all the available RAM in my machine and my laptop crashes to black screen and can't be recovered without a hard reboot.
Whatever update is causing this new issue was obviously NOT TESTED ENOUGH before being rolled out.
So now what am I supposed to do? Can't even complete my work...

Extremely frustrating. I haven't had to use InDesign for a few days and it had been working fine, but I am now also having this same issue, with it getting hung on "Loading Shortcuts...". I can see that this is an older thread, which now all of a sudden has quite a few people experiencing the same problem, which makes me think that this is not on the user side.
I've attemped the fixes and nothing seems to work. Once I open, I dont' get a crash report, it just continues to eat all my memory up until 99%, then I go black screen and have to perform a hard boot to get my PC back up and running.
I'm running:
Edition Windows 11 Pro for Workstations
Version 23H2
OS build 22631.3958
Processor 12th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-12900K 3.20 GHz
Installed RAM 128 GB (128 GB usable)
System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor
With a NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti

I'm having the same issue with nearly all my creative cloud apps right now.
What's causing it?
The memory is getting used all up by the launching app and then parts of Windows goes black and freezes.
Would be helpful to get an instruction to fix the problem.
All worked perfectly fine 15 hours ago.

After uninstalling all Beta apps (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Media Encoder) the normal installation of InDesign launched properly without issue. I did not have to use the Adobe Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool.
After I have completed some work I will attempt to reinstall Beta apps one by one until the issue reappears.

Permier Pro works but Indesign and photoshop no longer open on my desktop (Mac Studio running 14.6.1) . (I can open on my macbook pro.). I have restarted several times and installed the lastest system.
I reinstalled the app through Creative Cloud.
Indesign hangs on "starting up panels". Photoshop hangs on "done sorting font list". Note: I recently installed some fonts through Creative Cloud.
Thanks for any advice...

Something went wrong on that topic title. I have used Indesign and Photoshop for some time but they stopped working today. Premier works fine. Everything is up to date.

InDesign was working fine one day and then the next I can't get it to open. It keeps freezing on the startup screen at the part where it says it's loading shortcuts. I've tried uninstalling, and deleting on remaining inDesign program files from my computer, reinstalling, made sure my drivers and windows are all up to date all without success. Does anyone have any thoughts? It's honestly happening with Photoshop too now. I can open lightroom and premiere pro without issue.

I have been able to successfully resolve this issue, using steps below. Reposting my reply from this other issue:
https://community.adobe.com/t5/indesign-discussions/unable-to-launch-indesign-2024/m-p/14789924
The steps I tried that didn't work:
Here's how I did get it to work (at least on Mac M1 Max, Sonoma 14.6, Adobe CC with Adobe Indesign 19.5 and other latest PS / Illustrator versions):
Note: you may be able to keep preferences when you uninstall individual Adobe apps, although I did not attempt it this way. Now able to open all apps again. Frustrating event this week, spent a few hours working on a fix.
