Question

Where can I download a more complete specification of the same family of fonts?

For example, Arial, my fonts Regular, bold, and Italic may come from different versions or providers.

Sometimes, in ID, they don't even appear under the same option.
So my font management is confusing.

I'm all for keeping only fonts from the same version now.

Is there a site that packages them together like this, free would be best.
Much appreciated.

InDesign’s Find/Replace Font (More Info) shows a font’s Postscript Name, Style, font Type, Version, copyright Restrictions, file Path. Is there something else you are looking for?

Hi rob day.

We're talking about finding canonical fonts of the same family. Where can you get resources for fonts like this that have multiple variants.
Many websites have fonts that are confusing and may have multiple versions together.

Arial is available from myfonts.com (aka Monotype). That face is also available thru fonts.adobe.com just recently.

Arial is just an example.
This has a collection of family fonts of the same family.
Too bad the number is so small.

These problems are caused be the font developer which are not following the rules how to save family and style names.
