Why doesn't my Index export to EPUB in

I have generated an Index in my book and want to include it in my EPUB export, but it doesn't export. What's the problem? Am I missing something? I'm working on Mac Big Sur latest version with Adobe InDesign 17.4. Thanks.

Legend

Is it placed in a frame within the document? ID won't simply pull it from the document structure. It has to be a visible, placed element.

I should add that I'm exporting to EPUB in reflowable, not fixed format.
