Question

Gotham typefaces not showing in font menu list

Hi,

I have been looking for a solution for over an hour, because I feel like I cannot be the only one with this problem, but I can't find anything. I installed all the Gotham typefaces into Font Book, and they all show up, Gotham Thin, Light, Book, Medium, etc. But when I open up InDesign and select Gotham, the flyout menu only lists Regular. I cannot select between Thin, Light, Book, Medium, etc.

Has anyone else had this problem? I am using InDesign CC 2017.

Do you have any Filters applied at the top of the Font Family menu? This will limit the fonts seen in the menu.

See screenshoy below.

You can clear all filters under the popup menu next to the word Filters.

I had a look and unfortunately, there are no filters.

Could be a font cache problem. Search for the files named “AdobeFnt00*.lst” and delete them

*00 is actually a 2 digit number depending on your InDesign version

Thank you for the reply. Nothing seems to show up when I search for "AdobeFnt00" in Finder. How do I find my InDesign version?

Of course, nothing shows up since 00 are not part of the actual files names. To know your inDesign version you can either go to the InDesign CC menu > about InDesign (in my exemple, it is version 13)

or go to the applications folder, locate the InDesign Folder and select the InDesign application

For your information, InDesign 2020 is version 15, InDesign 2019 is version 14 and so on…

I jusr ead again your post and I see that you use CC 2017, so the version number is 12. You should search for AdobeFnt12.lst
