P: Bug when using adjustment brush, mask overlay and a Wacom tablet

I have found a bug found in Lightroom 6. When I use the adjustment brush, I use the ‘show selected mask overlay’ feature but with Lightroom 6 it is hardly visible when you make an adjustment. Very very pale pink. With Lightroom 5 it was much more visible. If I go to adjust an existing photo I altered first in Lightoom 5 and open it in Lightroom 6 the mask overlay is much deeper pink but as soon as I brush on more adjustment, what ever I add shows as pale pink. The problem happens when I use a Wacom tablet or Wacom mouse. I have just had a chat to Victoria Bampton and she just reproduced the same problem with her Wacom tablet. With her Apple trackpad though it worked fine. I am using Yosemite 10.10.3.

This was fixed in the CC 2015.1 / 6.1 Update.

When I was on Windows 7, after I upgraded to Lightroom 6, the issues with the Wacom tablet and pen pressure in Lightroom have started. Then, Adobe released an update, and the problems were solved.
Now, After I upgraded to Windows 10, I'm having the exact same issue as Ajay.

I am running the latest version of Lightroom, latest version of the Wacom tablet, and all of the recent updated to Windows 10. Nothing helps and the problem is still here.
It renders the tablet completely unusable for me when in Lightroom. When in Photoshop, the link in Ajay's comment is the thing that solved the problem. It's too bad that Lightroom doesn't have the same fix.
Right now I'm really stuck and am having trouble editing photos. Don't know what to do.

I can confirm Ajay Kumar's report to be exactly accurate to what I am experiencing.
The bug is still present and is still very disturbing to the workflow.

The solution for Photoshop has helped, I wish Adobe would release the same fix for Lightroom as soon as possible.

Yes I have had the same LR6 issues, but have seen improvements recently with the most recent LR 6 /CC update. However I was about to update from Win 8 to Win 10, but now definitely won't. Darn!

From what I read online, I believe this change in behavior was introduced in Windows 8. So you should not experience any difference, but nothing is guaranteed nowadays...

This is OUTRAGEOUS. There's people here who CAN'T WORK properly because of this. This frogged up my entire workflow costing me extra time and nerve. What the frog is going on with Adobe? Fix this!

This is weird:

I found out that the problem with the sticky sliders is gone when my Wacom Intuos Pro is cable connected to the PC. When I use the wireless thingie, all funcions behave normal EXCEPT that it takes about a second between selecting a slider and beeing able to actually move it.

I wonder how no one else noticed this before. Maybe this will be of help.

My wireless module is not even enabled, I'm always connected by wire, and I always have the problem.
Restart your PC and see if it's still the same. Also please verify whether you have pen pressure in adjustment brushes. If you don't, it means it's not working properly at all.

The wacom driver identifies wireless and cable as different devices, so settings are different.

If you disable "Use windows ink", the sliders will also work properly, but pen pressure will not work in adjustment brushes.

I found out some more: using TOUCH input (moving sliders with three fingers) they move perfectly even when in wireless mode. As soon as I use the pen, sliders are sticky.

That's because pen and touch are handled differently in windows.

I have pressure sensitivity. Sliders are in any case more responsive when operated using touch input. Windows 10 Pro

Latest Lightroom CC, Wintel 7, desktop, ordinary mouse, adjustment brush won't operate, though it registers in history, and I can elicit a faint version of the mask if I hover over the location dot; does not adjust or otherwise function. Intermittent bug, but I can't reboot out of it once it starts happening.

Hi Rikk,

Any update on this issue is really appreciated. I'm ready to go back to Win 8.1 if that solves this issue.
