P: Color issue with Raw files from Sony A1 ii and lightroom classic 14.2 and Photoshop 26.5

I've been having color issues using adobe color profile and LRC 14.2 and PS 26.5 and my Sony A1 ii.  I have a Sony a9iii and a7rv with no issues and LRC 14.1 the colors are fine.  The work around right now is converting the raw to dng in LRC 14.1 before editing in PS.  I reached out to Adobe and they confirmed the issues with the samples I provided.  Since it's isolated to the A1 ii it's not a monitor or icc issue.  see the issue in the pic belowA1_04550.jpg

I just updated all my apps and the issue is still there. Top Image SOOC Raw 14.1 LR, Bottom Image SOOC Raw 14.4

Notice the red hue as well as the com,pletely muted greens?
I am a commercial photographer and work with major clothign companies where color correctness is everything.

Now I can downgrade Lightroom again to 14.1 and I have a feeling that Adobe will never fix this issue. I am this close to switching over to Capture 1.2025-08-13_0001.jpg

oops, sorry, That is what I meant. I meant to write 14.5, but out of habit I typed 14.4.

I just updated to 14.5 this morning and this image collage was right after the update to 14.5

Correct, there will be no update to 14.4.

I jsut updated to 14.5 again and the colors are still messed up in LR 14.5.

On the collage, I included the Adobe Popup that shows that I am on 14.5. The image still has a red hue and the greens are very clearly desaturated. 2025-08-13_0003.jpgDSC05008 14.1.jpgDSC05008 14.5 after Update .jpg

I am curious. What happens if you open the same file in Camera Raw? Which does it more closely resemble (14.1 or 14.5)?

@elisabethm83122842  You need to reset the editing settings for your photo or click on the profile and select Adobe Color, even if it is already in Adobe Color, it will work in 14.5 🙂

@Rikk Flohr: Photography

The problem is that people who stayed with version 14.1 and edited their photos with that version will need to select the Adobe Color or Adobe Standard v2 image profile when installing version 14.5 in order for the colors to appear normally. Those who never noticed anything in version 14.4 will not see the difference.

Thank you. That works now. Do I have to do that for every single image in all of my current catalogs? I have shot throusands of images in the last few months. That would be awful!

Unfortunately, yes, anyone who stayed with version LR 14.1 or with the DCP 14.1 profile will have this problem. Those who were on 14.4 and edited it will not be affected. Adobe took too long to release this fix, so anyone who noticed this problem and stayed with 14.1 is now penalized.

I wonder if it would work to upgrade from 14.1 to 14.2 to 14.3 all the way to 14.5? That would still be quicker than for me to click every single image

However, if you have presets already saved with the standard Adobe profile, you will need to update them all to the standard Adobe profile v2 ..... A galley adobe should have deleted and replaced adobe standard as the Adobe colour profile and not put a V2...

@Rikk Flohr: Photography

However, all presets purchased or created based on Adobe Standard are incorrect, because you have created a new Adobe Standard v2, and if you click on a preset, it will select the old Adobe Standard v1 profile, which is defective... Why not do as Adobe Colors did and not create a v2...

I'm not sure I understand- Am I supposed to use Adobe color now or v2?
Adobe color looks slightly more saturated than v2.

@elisabethm83122842  Both are very good for colors, but the problem is that if your presets are based on Adobe Standard, they won't work. You'll have to modify them to use the Adobe Standard V2 profile. Adobe has just created a new problem.

@mathieu323314395hg5 , so you know now the Adobe Color is the latest Standard profile so you need to update your preset.

This does not solve the problem when you have several presets based on Adobe Standard v1. You have to modify all these presets to Adobe Standard v2.

@mathieu323314395hg5 , why not update them to Adobe Color which is the latest Standard profile.

@mathieu323314395hg5 , Ok so in LrC 14.5 there is an Adobe Standard profile available in Process Version 6 the latest, it does not indicate v1 or 2.
What do you see when you use raw files from your Camera?

LATEST

The Adobe Standard profile will only be displayed if you select a preset set to Adobe Standard. Then, in the profile, you will see Adobe Standard and Adobe Standard v2.
