P: Crash (11.3) - Launch/Open Catalog - faulting module: substrate.dll : 411196 (Windows)

After updating LR today from the Cloud app on my PC it now fails with an error every time I open it. I have tried updating graphic card drivers, uninstalled and reinstalled LR itself but the problem persists. Was working fine yesterday. It is now unusable as the error occurs on starting up the software. Have sent crash reports via the error popup. Urgent help requested!

Sounds like Adobe needs to pull 11.3 and release 11.4? multiple issues with windows and Apple software.

@mattip69213746In the current version of the Creative Cloud Desktop app (5.7.01307), when I go to the All Apps selection in the left (the top one), it shows my installed apps.  On the Lightroom Classic line, I hit the three-dots on the far right, and get a dropdown that has: Manage Plugins, Learn More, Other Versions, Uninstall.    Click on Other Versions, and select 11.2 from there.

Thank you but that instruction is not up to date any more. I cannot find Other versions, only More information or Delete installation (Poista asennus in Finnish) available. So I have no idea how to get back to version 11.2. I don't understand how it has been possible to launch this miserable version (11.3), extremely frustrating!!

How can I revert to LR Classic 11.2 ?

Version 11.3 is flawed. Reinstall older 11.2. with Creative Cloud.

Lightroom Classic shuts down automatically when I launch. I have followed the fixes for this suggested by Adobe but have been unable to find the "store" folder in "Program files" to change it to "storeold." Any help much appreciated!!!

@Rikk Flohr: PhotographyThanks for the clarification.  But I still don't believe that anything that Support is going to have a customer try do (with renaming, etc.) their Catalog, is going to solve the problem for them, right?    I assume that the situation is: if your catalog is triggering the bug, then you need to roll back to 11.2.  Right?

@DavinM
Actually, this bug is specific catalog dependent.

It does not affect Mac Customers

It does not affect all Windows Customers or any specific hardware configuration.
