Automatic Virtual Copy

How come when I make a Virtual Copy for one image, LR goes and automatically makes one for every image?

How many images do you have selected?

Are you in the New Lr CC cloud application Marian or Lr Classic? (As they are not Virtual Copies in LrCC, but actual copies I believe)

I am in LR CC. Not sure if its the "new" one or not. But I have seen this issue happen on two different computer systems, both using LR CC.

This seems to be an old thread, don't know why it's showing up near the top. I am using Lightroom Classic on Windows 10. If I press Ctrl/' on a highlighted image it creates a virtual copy for that highlighted image only. Is that how you are doing it?

For some reason when I save my PSD in Photoshop Lightroom isn't automatically uploading it anymore. Also, My numbers for my Virtual Copies are missing now?

Your post just raises more questions for me to ask-

PSD in Photoshop-

What number versions of Lr & Ps are you using?

What OS?

How do you 'send' a file from Lr to Ps to be edited?

What type of file are you sending Lr > Ps?

What Sort Order is your Lr Library Grid View using for the file you 'send' to Ps ?

Virtual Copies-

What do you mean by "Numbers are missing"?

What numbers?

Do you see Virtual Copy thumbnails in the Grid view of Lr.?

Do you use 'Stacking' ?

Your answers to these questions will help with answers to your problems.
