(Canon) tethered capture crashes on M1 MacBook Pro - Ventura 13.0

I'm setting up a brand new Macbook Pro with an M1 Pro chip, and while using Lightroom I can import diretly from the card in the camera but when I try tethering I can only set my tethered location setting but as soon as I click OK Lightroom closes. I just tested the Canon R5 on a 2015 Imac and tethered capture works perfectly there still so I don't believe its a camera/cable issue. I'm not sure why I can't connect on the Macbook but I've tested multiple cables and ports with no luck.

Everything is up to date currently and running Ventura 13.0 and Lightroom 12.1 with a Canon R5.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Did you fix this @grainandglass ?

Try this - run LR once in Intel mode, then restart and try in Silicon mode.

It solved the problem for me.

I confirm, had the same problem but using a Fuji camera and the solution mentioned by Shipp solved it for me.

Having the same problem, LR 12.3 and Ventura 13.3.1

Allowed full disk access. Canon 5Ds.

The current version of Ventura is 13.2. Try updating the OS. Also be sure Lightroom Classic has Full Disk Access:

Go to System Preferences > Security & Privacy > Privacy tab. Click on Full Disk Access on the left. Unlock the padlock at the bottom and add LrC to the list of programs to have full disk access. Relock. (In Ventura, System Preferences is now System Settings.) Reboot the Mac.
