Classic CC 8.2 crashes when Enhancing details of NEF with Virtual Copy

I am exploring the new feature Enhance Details in Classic CC 8.2, and find that every time I am using the new feature on a original NEF that has a Virtual Copy, Lightroom crashes during rendering the preview in the  pop up window, where I am supposed to view with/without.

When I use a NEF without Virtual copy, the feature is working okay, and the new DNG file is rendered as expected, but it takes time, thou.

Mac Book pro 2014 with i7 2,5 GHz, 512 Gb SSD with enough free space, OSX, latest release, 16 Gb memory and Nvidia Geforce GT 750M with 2048Mb memory.

What camera?

What I am getting at is:

Unsupported file formats
Enhance Details does not apply to the following types of source images:

  • Non-raw files such as a JPEGs, TIFFs, and HEICs
  • Linear DNGs (including HDR and pano DNG images previously created inside Lightroom and Camera Raw)
  • DNG proxies and Smart Previews
  • Monochrome raw files (such as Leica M MONOCHROM)
  • Four-color cameras
  • Foveon sensor images
  • Fujifilm cameras with SR, EXR, or 2×4 mosaic sensors.
  • Canon S-RAW/M-RAW files
  • Nikon small raw files
  • Pentax Pixel Shift Resolution (PSR) files
  • Sony ARQ files
  • Video files

For all having issues with the new version, please post a report in the official Adobe feedback forum, where Adobe wants all bug reports posted:

Adobe product developers read everything there but rarely participate in this forum, which is primarily user-to-user.  Be sure to include the link to any sample file and your System Information from the menu command Help > System Info. (At least down to just past the Plug-ins)

(Simply posting a link to this thread will make it more likely Adobe won't pay attention.)

strange GPU driver version not listed, but then nothing you could do on a MAC about the version.

I’m not seeing this with D850 files where I also have a V/C. Rendering will take some time. The enhanced DNG will be much large (file size) because it contains the original raw data and the demosaiced RGB data.
