Crop Overlay Grid Question

In Windows, when you choose the Crop Overlay tool you get a grid that you can change by pressing "O" to cycle through the options. All good. When I click on the straightening icon (black, curved, two-headed arrow), my grid switches to MANY tiny boxes. I would like to change that to a bigger grid (so I can see the horizontal lines on my photo better) but I cannot find a way to do so. Anyone? Thanks.

Has anyone found a solution to this? It's so unpleasant to work on hundreds of photos at a time with these tiny boxes in the rotate view. It takes 5x longer to straighten images with this problem. ADOBE PLEASE

In interesting, but perhaps akward work around

Instead of going to crop, go to Transform, use the rotate slider, consider clicking on contrain crop.

And if going that way, consider using a guide instead of a grid

This has bothered me for a long time. As soon as you start dragging the angle slider the grid overlay changes to the dense square overlay. I have not found a way to change this. There is one trick though. If you enable the crop tool and then go to the transform section and use the rotate tool there (remember to hit "constrain crop") you can rotate with whatever grid overlay you have selected.

So, a possible workaround, while in Crop, press O and scycl thru theoverlay, bring up rule of thirds instead of grid. Note much choice

Not Ok, double cheked, went balistic on the grid size as to make obvious. And nope this did not work

OK, thanks - so we have no verified sightings of it working :-( Back to square one...

OK,solved.

Before you clcik on the crop tool, bring up a grid. Adjust the grid to your liking. Then select the crop tool.

This is a good pointer.

While you cannot change the grid while using the straighten/rotate tool, that tool does use the grid settings that are setup in the generic grid overlay.

I am not seeing that in v8.4. I have selected each one of the options using the "O" key and then pressed the leveling icon and the grid is always the small boxes :-(

Not currently on computer, so I cannot verify if this is it:

”While the grid is visible, Command (Mac) | Control (Win) displays options for Size and Opacity. Click-drag left/right on Size to decrease/increase the grid size. Likewise, Click -drag left/right on Opacity to decrease/increase the grid opacity.”

Thanks David, but in Windows, while the Crop Overlay tool is activated, pressing Control brings up the "level" icon so you can draw a straight line anywhere and the image will align itself to it. Kinda cool and I did not know that, but not solving my issue.
