EDITING a Softproof to print, again
Hi. I cannot find the answer to this question anywhere. I am using the most up-to-date LRoom CLASSIC version. I softproof in LR and understand softproofing ICC profiles, etc.
Once I have created a softproof it I have a virtual copy, so I understand. When I view this in the Library mode I will see it with the printer profile (eg Hahnaemuhle) etc. Also, a small corner is turned up on the image to indicate it is a proof. Now what if I want to FURTHER EDIT the PROOF?
I have been selecting the vitual copy and re-editing it... First is this correct technically? And secondly, do I AGAIN checkoff the softproof box below? I dont believe so because the virtual copy is a softproof copy and I want to just tweak it. Insight appreciated.
Sometimes, I dont see much difference and wonder if this is correct or if I have to start at the beginning and work off of the original RAW file?
And another related question - Once I softproof, if I save it in snapshots, is this also the same as the virtual copy I just created (that I see in the Library module)?
