Files are importing to wrong location

Question

Dear community,

I am having a weird issue recently when importing files in LrC. It may or may not be the result of a recent upgrade to MacOs Sonoma:

Since many years I am using a library structure based on year, and a folder below on the topic:

For this thread I created folder 2023-00 to explain the issue.

I point to the same folder for importing from camera:

However, instead of creating date folders in the designated folder, LrC throws the files on a different location:

In my library the folder 2023-00 under 2023 remains empty, and it creates a new folder in the root. Until now I was able to use this workflow to structure my library and importing in the designated folder. Apparently something has changed. Anyone out there who can help?

Using Lrc 13.0.1 on a Mac Mini M2, using MacOS Sonoma 14.0 (recently upgraded from iMac late 2015 with MacOs 12.0)

Hi Johan,I did a few attempts today ... succeeded eventually getting the structure back by repeating 'Show Parent Folder'Still I am wondering why the pictures were not loaded in the structure I had.Thanks anyway!MariëlleHi Johan,Eventually the solution provided with case Picture not in library after noise reduction resolved root cause - reset the preferences. Used the capitalization trick for getting things back on the designated spot in the structure,Thanks!Mariëlle

Edit: the files were successfully loaded in the designated folder on my Mac, with the date subfolder showing. The main issue is why it shows on a different location in the library.
