Files over 25 mps help

What to do if your edited photos are over 25 mps? How to lower the without effecting image quality? I'm working out of lightroom cc

First of all, there is no Lightroom CC anymore. It's either Lightroom Classic or Lightroom (for the cloud). I work with the large 25+ MP files to do my editing, and then export JPEG images for whatever purposes I need them for. Good quality JPEG's seem to work well for sending to printing labs and for sharing with others. What are your main concerns?

I need them lower that 25 mps for uploading. Sorry meant lightroom classic

Uploading to what? Are you referring to raw images or JPEG images?

Raw to jpeg. They need to be under 25 mps to upload to for sell sites

If you convert a typical raw file to a high quality JPEG, you should easily be able to produce a file that is well below 25 megapixels. How big are the images you are working with? Maybe I'm not fully understanding your problem.

They're anywhere from 28 to 40 mps. Not all of them but I have some that are. I'm asking what to do fo get them under???

There are only a couple of things I can think of that you could do. If a full quality JPEG image is exceeding 25 megapixels, then you would either have to reduce the quality to stay within that limit and see if the image is still acceptable. Or, crop the image and make it smaller and see if you still have an acceptable image that would still enable you to stay within that limit. What camera are you using?

Are the JPEG images 28-40 megapixels in size?

I mean over 25 mbs. I'm using a Canon EOS R

Yeah, so did I. Are the JPEG images that you export from Lightroom bigger than 25 MB?

That's curious. I just downloaded a sample raw image from that camera model. I exported a full quality JPEG image and it was 11 MB in size. You must have some very busy JPEG images to be larger than 25 MB. I don't know anything about the Canon cameras. Is there a special setting that produces a different type of raw file then a "normal" one? I'm not real technical. My Nikon camera produces either 12 bit or 14 bit raw files, and my JPEG images never exceed about 12 MB.

Are you talking about file size? File size is measured in megabytes (MB).

The pixel count of an image is measured in megapixels (MP).

There are three factors that influence the file size of a jpg.

• Pixel dimensions
• Quality setting
• Image content

Assuming that the first two are constant, that leaves us with image content, which can have a significant influence on file size. 

Images with large smooth areas without detail, like sky or out of focus areas, will have a small file size,

Images with lots of sharp details, or noise, will have a large file size.

The difference in file size can be quite dramatic, like 5 - 6 times.

You can reduce the file size by lowering the pixel dimensions, or by lowering the quality setting.

From grid view select a few images to test quality. From within Lightroom export module, choose the setting that do not exceed 25MB. Than test it with a few and see what the quality looks like. Other wise change either pixel dimension to make samller or use quality slider to make smaller. Only you know what qaulity you are looking for so test and see for your self what works.
