Question

How to merge subfolders into their parent folder, and more...

When dragging additional photos from one drive to another, if there are already photos from that date in the new drive, LR auto-creates a subfolder with the same name.  I don't want this, I just want to add photos to the main folder.  Now I have a lot of subfolders I want to merge into their parents.  For example, in the first screenshot, I want to merge photos in the 2022-04-19 subfolder into the parent of the same name.  How do I do this?  And can I avoid the automatic creation of subfolders in future?

The one instance where I want to move photos lower in the hierarchy is highlighted in the second screenshot.  I would like to move the 22 photos that somehow ended up in the G Drive header to a specific folder, e.g. 2019-10-15.  How is this done?

Thanks....

Select the folder with the images you want to move, select the photos in the main window, and then just drag & drop them into the desired folder in the Lightroom folder panel.
