Installation on a different drive than C

I want to install LR on a large hard drive as my SSD C drive is too small.

Ididn't see an option to do this, and it was installed on my (small) C drive.

I have had to reload windows and just finished dowmloading a new copy of the app, intending to respond to a (apparently non-existant) window that would allow me to select where to install it.

Does anyone have an idea as to move/reinstall LR to a different drive than C?

I have no folders, etc. This is equivalent to a first time download, I assume

I am trying to get the desktop version which I believe is

Lightroom Classic CC. This is the option on the page with all the apps. Says it is "desktop-focused photo editing".

I download that installer and, after I give my password, it just starts.

    No other option.

Where do I find CC DTA?

Typically you want your applications on the C: drive, that's where they will do best. What I think you are concerned about, tell me if I'm wrong, is the space taken by the image and catalog files. There is no need to have either of those on C:, the system drive.

On my setup the C: drive is 500GB, much too small to hold the 1.7TB of image files I have. So the catalog and image files live on a portable 4TB SSD. The application files are on C:.

    Hope this helps.

I've branched your post to a new thread.

To install the CC apps on a different drive than C you have to make the change in the Creative Cloud Desktop App in the Preference section.

If you already have the apps installed you have to uninstall them, make the change in the CC DTA and then reinstall.

The screen shot above is from an older version of the CC DTA but it is the same for the newest version.

And there is no "Install to" option on the installer I just downloaded

Have deleted original program and downloaded installer Lightroom_Set-Up again.

It doesn't give me an option as to where to install it.

After I let it run it just starts!
