Is it possible to sync the editing settings from my iPad to my computer?

You might already know that Lightroom for iPad already has a built-in sync to the cloud that Lightroom Classic can sync down, for the one catalog synced to the Lightroom cloud. This system is designed to work with originals straight from the camera, including raw files. If you have Lightroom for iPad import full quality originals directly from your camera and you edit those on the iPad, the next time you open the Lightroom Classic catalog synced to the cloud, Lightroom Classic downloads the original files plus their edits. So if you did it that way, all the work you did automatically syncs right down to your Lightroom Classic catalog.

This system is not designed to transfer edits to originals from downsampled versions of the originals that you imported, so there is not a straightforward way to do what you’re describing. I think there is at least one Lightroom Classic plug-in that can transfer edits between files with the same names but different filename extensions, however adding such a plug-in will add several more steps to the workflow compared to just editing the originals on the iPad and letting them sync back to the computer automatically.
