We’ve reviewed the email address you use with this forum and find no crash reports in our system.
Did you see a crash dialog?
Do you use a different email address when filling out the crash report?
Was the crash dialog Adobe’s? Apple’s?

Hi, I previously sent one without email address.
Now I sent a new one with my email, if you can please look.
I see Adobe's dialog.
Please note that no I'm with an older version of Lightroom, that holds the crash better than the updated one.

Your crash report indicates 12.5. This version no longer accepts bug reports. Please update to 13.0.1 and advise if the crash continues. Make sure you send the crash reports with your valid email when/if you do!

I've reviewed the crash - thank you for submitting the report. It is a one-off, meaning it is unique to you, and no other customers are experiencing the exact same crash. Typically, this points to a problem on your local machine. Crashes of this nature are very difficult to diagnose as they could be internal to Adobe Products or caused by an external agent.
The standard recommendation here is to do the following in this order:
Preferences: This procedure works for both Lightroom Classic and Lightroom Desktop.
If you are using Lightroom Desktop, it can change your local storage location. Please review this setting after resetting preferences.
Reset Procedure:
1. Close Lightroom.
2. Hold down [Alt/Opt]+[Shift] while restarting Lightroom.
3. Overwrite the Preferences when prompted by the dialog.
4. Close Lightroom.
5. Restart Lightroom.
Lightroom Install Procedure
Close Lightroom
Restart the computer
Use the Adobe Creative Cloud App to uninstall Lightroom
Restart the computer
Install Lightroom via the Creative Cloud App without launching any other programs.
Restart the computer
Launch Lightroom
Wait 5 minutes

Unfortunately I never was able to even see a crash dialog: the LR Classic screen does not appear, immediately after clicking on Open in the Creative Cloud or from the icon a dialog box from Apple tells me LR has crashed and asks if I want to send a report or ignore. I tried again this morning: same thing again. My Apple is an iMac 2019, operating under Sonoma 14.0. My other Mac of 2020 has the same OS and LR Classic 13.0.1 works perfectly as I write.

Same here. Updatet my IMac to Monterey. Since then no version of Lightroom is working - not even the 12.5 that was running perfectly before the update to Monterey and Lightroom 13.00 and 13.01 (tried deintalling, installing, three different version). I'm not getting any crash report. So what to do?

Pb solved by uninstalling then reinstalling LR Classic.

I did it several times, including reintalling macOS and installing Lightroom from scratch.
Didn't work for me.

Same here.
I reproduced this bug on 3 differents Mac with shared licences.
Lightroom open and crash immediatly if a user is logged in Adobe CC.
macOS Sonoma 14

@LuckySlam You are not using Lightroom Classic. Version 7.0 is the latest version for Lightroom Desktop. You should probably post here instead: https://community.adobe.com/t5/forums/postpage/board-id/lightroom into Discussions.

I have the same issue, I run LR on 13.0.1 on a 2017 27 inch iMac and a 2021 M1 Macbook Pro. iMac, LR functioning as expected, M1 Macbook (14.0 (23A344)) instant crash on startup. Uninstalled and reinstalled same issue persists.
I have jobs where I need to shoot tethered on location and have purchased a month of Capture One to keep me shooting tethered until I can get this issue resolved, has anyone found a workaround? I already prefer the fact C1 doesn't need to restart in emulation mode, now I prefer it even more as it actually works!

I was having the same problem on Windows 11. I noticed Photoshop had been updated to Photoshop 2025 and realised this was a clean install and left the older version of Photoshop installed. I removed the older version of Photoshop and this cleared the Lightroom Classic start up crashing problem. I hope this helps.
