Lightroom Constantly Crashing—Need Help Resolving the Issue

Hello, my friends,

I hope you're all doing well.

I'd like to ask for your help.

I have Lightroom Classic version 13.5.1, and I've been using the program since 2012 in its various versions without any problems.

Currently, I have a catalog with 100,000 photos stored on an 8TB hard drive, which I handle with the utmost care (I also have a cloud backup).

I've been facing an issue where Lightroom keeps closing constantly; it doesn't stay open for more than a few minutes. It shuts down out of nowhere, usually during photo imports.

I've tried creating a new catalog and resetting all Lightroom settings, but the problem persists. I've also uninstalled and reinstalled the software. I used DDU to remove my GPU drivers and reinstalled them, and finally did a clean installation.

I've increased the cache size, etc., etc...

Nothing seems to keep it open for very long.

My machine's specifications are listed below. Has anyone experienced something like this or have a solution?

Good morning, I hope everyone is doing well. I managed to stop the crashes simply by disabling the graphics accelerator. It's a workaround for this issue that was bothering me quite a bit. I'm not sure if this would be the standard procedure for an RTX 4090, which is such a powerful card, but it worked. Thank you!

If you can

Please post your System Information as Lightroom Classic (LrC) reports it. In LrC click on Help, then System Info, then Copy. Paste that information into a reply. Please present all information from first line down to and including Plug-in Info. Info after Plug-in info can be cut out as that is just so much dead space to us non-Techs and it takes up vast amounts of scroll space making the reply less readable and less likely that others will bother with your post.

Inquiry about resetting all Lightroom settings. By that do you mean you reset the prefrence file as per:

Inquiry about uninstall/reinstall. I forget why Adobe recommended that, but it rarely IMO fixes anything. One might suspect a bad download/install, but then, would you not get a helpful error message either by LrC or your OS?

So, one thing not in that list, problems with your Windows user account, have you:

Attempted using a different Admin account

Attempted via a safe mode

Attempted using a different user account

Do you have any sync to/from the cloud running (fouled up since v13.2)
