lightroom make my disk usage 100%

I have a problem when i open adobe lightroom and i start editing my images its starts to lags and freeze and the disk usage jump to 100% but on the other hand the processor and the ram and everything else is fine doesn't even exceed the 50% ! how can i fix this ?

      When you see the disk usage (Active Time) at 100%, do you see any read or write activity? You need to look at the disk itself in the Task Manager. This may seem counter intuitive, 100% activity with no I/O but it was a problem I had when I first upgraded to Windows 10. The 'brown out' would last several minutes then everything would return to normal. In my case, it would happen at random times and was not triggered by just LrC. Unfortunately, I only solved the problem by replacing the drive even though there were no errors on it.

      Same issue here, with me it happens when I use the spot removal feature, after some time using LR.

      Hello, I have the same problem. My HDD is defreagmented, all programs was killed, but the lightroom still read/write some data very slowly and the disk usage is still 100%... Did you fix that?

        You have the same issue? Then provide the information requested above. And don't forget to state what actions cause this problem in Lightroom Classic.


        I use  Windows 10 and lightroom cc (latest version) and  have 700 GB free on my disk!

        It's Windows 10 and lightroom cc (latest version) and i still have 350 GB free on my disk!!

        same issue for me
        windows 10
        mostly everything stopped

        lightroom cc start with new catalog

        hard disk runs like crazy for more than 10 minutes

        What exact tasks are your performing in Lightroom when this happen. Please be very detailed in your answer.
