Lightroom won't open

I've been trying everything all day to get my catalog and just lightroom to open and it won't.

In the catalog file I did try deleting the "lock" file but that didn't help. There are two other files that start trying to sync within the catalog.

What can I do?

I understand you'd be frustrated with this Lisa.

There was a .lock file which you deleted?

Post a screen shot of the sync issue if you like, but please use the "Insert Photos" icon and not the "Insert/Edit Link" icon in the post reply window.

At the moment, unsure. Can you provide the version of Lightroom Classic you are using and your operating system and version?

using the latest update on classic. windows 10. all i get is a message on the desktop that says "lightroom - opening catalog vr10.lcat" but nothing. and -shm and -wal file apprearing and disappearing.
