Hello! I tried already to disable the GPU in preferences, worked for 30 minutes, now it is not working again. Tried restarting, turning off, all the basics. Anybody else had this problem recently? What can I do to make it work? I have mac m1 pro and the newest version of LR.

I am having the same issue. This is what the Develop Module looks like. You can see the image smaller than an ant in the very middle.

Actually your issue sounds different, mind you the author could have overlooked such a very very small image showing in the loupe view.

Normally I would recommend that you post your own discussion, after all the above discussion is a year old, and apparently not solved. But..

A possibility, corrupt preference file.

see:

The preference file can get corrupted leading to buggy behavior. A corrupt preference file will survive uninstalls, updates, and upgrades. By renaming or moving or deleting the preference file you create a situation where LrC will recreate a fresh new one upon startup of LrC. Be aware various settings will revert to defaults.

Try logging into another Mac user account (you should make a new one); still not working?
Try starting up in Safe mode (hold down Shift Key when booting*), still not working?

* How to start your M1/M2 Mac in Safe Mode
On your Mac, choose Apple menu () > Shut Down.
After your Mac shuts down, wait 10 seconds.
Press and hold the power button until the startup disks and Options appear.
Press and hold the Shift key, then click Continue in Safe Mode.

Welcome to the Lightroom Community. To help you figure this out, I'll need more info.

Please share the system info of Lightroom Classic from Help > System info > Copy & paste into a text document > attach & share the document here. Where are the original images stored in Lightroom Classic? On the internal drive or an external drive? This can happen if the images are missing too.

Missing images [!] are common if Lightroom Classic cannot link to the original images. You can go to Library Module > Library (top-menu) > Find All missing photos to refresh Lightroom Classic to group all missing images.

Check this to learn more: https://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom-classic/help/locate-missing-photos.html

Let me know if this helps.

Thanks!

Hello!

It worked later, after I changed the graphic card handling settings. Now it stopped again.

I am sending the system info in a document:

Photos are stored on an external HD, they are still in the same place.

I can see them in a gallery overview, but not in the develop module. If I want to flag an image, it takes ages to finish the task, the same with other filters.

Hope you can help, it really makes my life harder.

Thank you,

N
