LR Delete from Disk does not Appear in Trash

Explorer ,
Jan 03, 2019 Jan 03, 2019

When I delete images on LR, I use the Delete Rejected Photos and then select the Delete From Disk. The files would then appear in my trash can, which I would then Empty Trash. Today, I noticed something new. The files no longer appear in my trash can. All of my files are on an external HD. I've been using the same procedure for a long time and as recently as yesterday the deleted files moved to the trash can. Did I accidentally make a change in LR?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

System Details:

MacPro 2016, macOS 10.14.1

LR Ver 8.0

Happy New Year

If you restart the MAC, do they show up in trash?

Also, is your recycle folder full? (I would think you would get an error message if it was)

By the way, probably a question to place on a MAC forum. This appears to be an OS issue, not a application issue.

If you google on “deleted items not going to trash mac” you will see this issue. Reading some of the links, you might want to visit an Apple Store for expert help.

DavidG,

Thank you. I read the LR queen article and all I had to do was Relaunch the Finder and the deleted files appeared in the garbage can.

For clarity, I did not update any program between yesterday and today.

Thanks everyone.
