Masking Invert Questions

Lightroom Classic 11.2 on Windows 10 64 Pro

After using select subject from the masking panel and modifying the selection using subtraction with the brush, if I invert the mask only the subtracted area is inverted instead of the full mask as modified by subtracting.

Also, still no fix for bracket keys NOT changing brush size in masking.  Instead changes rating.  Masking needs help.

This is OUTSTANDING help.  Many thanks.  It is complicated isn't it!  But the videos are a huge help.  Thanks again.

"still no fix for bracket keys NOT changing brush size in masking.  Instead changes rating."

I recommend that you post a separate bug report about this:

I can't find any other bug reports about it ([ and ] correctly adjust the brush size in my LR 11.2).

The steps to invert a mask with a subtraction:

1. Invert the mask (not the subtraction)

2. Select the subtraction, then select "Convert to Add"

Yes, it can get quite involved. But if the video's creator can figure out the steps, Adobe could figure out the steps too and simply allow the combination of masks (in your case, the original mask and the subtraction) to be inverted in one command. In fact, why Adobe didn't do that is a real headscratcher.
