New Here ,
Jun 16, 2025 Jun 16, 2025

Lightroom Classic versjon: 14.4
Operativsystem: Mac OS 15

As of this new version I am not able to denoise a batch of photos, only individual ones. Can't find any guidance as to how this can be fixed. Hope you can help me, thanks.

Select the images to be Denoised, enable Auto Sync, then click on the Denoise checkbox. You can use the slider below the Denoise checkbox to fine tune the amount of noise reduction applied to all or individual images in real time.

In Lightroom Classic, there are 5 ways Batch editing can be realized.

  1.  Auto-sync
  2.  Sync
  3.  Copy/Paste
  4.  Presets
  5.  Previous

In Lightroom Desktop, your 2 options are:

    1.  Copy/Paste
    2.  Preset

Lightroom Desktop does not have Sync, Auto-Sync, or Previous.

For more information, please refer to this video by @brianmatiash, in which he demonstrates these options and provides additional context.

This new way is the biggeat time wasting update I have ever seen it constantly wants to update AI settings. There has to be a faster easier program out there to edit raw photos.

Oh my Mac, when I leave the computer and the screen goes to sleep, all denoising processing stops.. why is that? I have to keep my screen awake for LrC to keep working on batch denoising images.

With the new update, I like the new Denoise feature but now I can't seem to find out to batch enhance multiple photos (right click > Enhance) at the same time. I've been having to select Denoise on each photo which is super inconvenient. Is there a new way to do this or did Adobe get rid of that feature? This is Lightroom not the LR Classic program.

Unfortunately they moved it to the regiular image editing section and it's broken as can be, people often can't get it to batch process anymore, and it locks up Lightroom while processing so you can't do other editing in the meantime.
To roll back go to the creative cloud app, click the apps tab on the left, scroll to Lightroom, hit the three dots, click "other versions", click install on the previous version that had the old style Denoise, live with the fact it's going to tell you there's an update from now on.

I use noise reduction function in Lightroom Classic (not manual but AI). But in recent version it can be applied only to one photo at a time - or at least I cannot find a way. It was possible to do it in previous versions, I just marked a series of photos and checked raw reduction. No it works only for one pehoto. How to apply it to many photos at once?

After updating to the latest update, my denoise worked perfectly in lightroom classic. now it will not work at all. I click the denoise button, it starts processing, then stops without finishing. i go to reclick the denoise box, and it makes a check and then takes it away immediately. when it was working, when i checked denoise, it would also check raw details. it does not do this anymore. i can click raw details first, and then denoise and it will process to reveals the slider, but it doesn't actually change the photo's noise level.

Hi, thanks for reaching out, and we're sorry about the trouble!

Please go to the Help menu in Lightroom Classic, then System Info, and copy the text. You can share the info with us by either pasting it as a reply here or in a text file and sharing the file with us.

What format are the images in? Did you start experiencing this behavior after any specific change to the system?

You can try to reset the preferences of Lightroom using the steps mentioned here: https://adobe.ly/3IaEfMF

Thanks,
Nikunj

I am having the exact same problem as Rob. The denoise buttons now look different and there is the raw details now which i did not have before. I am unable to select how much denoise to apply (it is stuck on 50) and then after attempting to denoise, i get an error message.

Hi @Robert28836164za6t, Thank you for reaching out, and welcome to the community!

As asked by Nikunj, could you please share your System information? Also, does this happen with specific images or all of them? Could you please share more details of your workflow, including how and what exactly you are applying denoise to? Also, please share the exact error message. Please share relevant screenshots along with your response.

While we wait, you can try resetting your preferences like Nikunj has suggested. You can also check out the correct answer in this thread: Solved: Denoise not completing in version 14.3 - Adobe Product Community - 15292418

Let us know how it goes!

Cheers!

Noel

Hi,

I am using Windows 11 home version.

I have 32GB RAM and a 500 GB hard drive.

The issue is happening with all my images.

Typically, I use the following work flow

Crop
Set white balance
Set temp for global image
Do noise reduction ( I use when ISO > 300)
Use generative AI (if needed)
Masking

I have used Lightroom Classic on this computer for a long time and never had a problem until now.

I recently bought a laptop as I was going on a photo trip and wanted to be able to edit in the field.

I first noticed the issue on the new laptop. I thought it may just be something I did wrong with setting up the laptop.

However, when I got home, I discovered the same problem when using Lightroom Classic on my desktop.

The components of the "Detail" section is different. Previously there just was "denoise". Now there are boxes for "Raw Details" and "Super Resolution".

The error message says "an internal error has occurred: ?:0: attempt to index a nil value"

Also, triangles with exclamation points inside display for "denoise", "Raw Details" and "Super Resolution". When I click on the triangle, it says "image not loaded"

Below is a screen shot of the tool bar. As you may be able to see, the slider for denoise is stuck at 50%

Thank you for any assistance you can provide.

Bob

I used to be able to go to Grid View and apply the denoise effect to every picture I selected, but I can't anymore. Did it get removed in an update?

Before, I could apply the AI denoise option to several photos at once by right-clicking and selecting Enhance, but with the new update I don’t know how to do it."

Has this been removed? I used to use this feature often, now it seems it's been shifted into the Edit settings, and I can no longer Batch DeNoise.

How does this help if I'm using Lr (not LrC)?

You CAN NOT simply copy the "Detail" settings with the Noise Reduction stuff as Lr will create a new DNG out of - in my case - the CR2 file.

You should ask your question in the LIghtroom (ecosystem) forum and not in the Lightroom Classic forum.

I have a question about LRC version 14.4 regarding noise reduction.
Up until the previous version, you could enable noise reduction on multiple photo selections,
but now I see I can only enable it for one photo at a time.
Is there a solution?
Thanks for your reply
.

Love the new denoise to be honest but it needs improvement... I still need to be able to work in the background whilst I am doing the denoise and need to be able to easily select a bunch of photos and do them in a batch!

@marc_4157

You can easily Denoise a selection (batch) of photos; there are multiple (6 at my last count) ways you can do this in LrC 14.4. Doing Denoise in the background is a big issue, but I suspect not easily implemented.

The problem is that every way I and many others have tried applies the paste of the setting to all the images selected but doesn't actually process the denoise (may be a glitch), and further it was ALREADY implemented to run in the background, the complaint is that it isn't anymore and it locks up Lightroom until it's done so you can't continue editing.
