Question

Print module randomly fogets to add Identity Plate when Printing

I use an Identity Plate when printing a specific layout for school photography clients in order to be able to add various images onto that same background. For some reason the Identity Plate prints on some but not all the pages when I print. The photos still print, in the correct location on the page but the Identity Plate is missing along with all the info it contains that the parents require.

Although random, if I reprint it usually misses out the same pages in each reprint but there is no discernable pattern as to which pages are left blank.

The ID plate is a full page A4 size plate that is essentialy a static background for the required output of the various images. I have tried using both JPG and PNG versions of the file with no luck. The printer is set up to print and A4 size page. I am at a loss as it is random and so I am battling to fault find the issue.

As I have to print hundreds of images at a time it is a real problem. The current workaround takes twice as long and I need to resolve it asap.

As far as I am aware I am using the latest version of  LRC available.

I would be really grateful for any input from anyone who may have some insight or who has experienced (or even better resolved) a similar issue in the past.

Have you tried changing the option [Render behind image] for the ID plate?

Do any cells use a 'Photo Border' eg. a wide white photo border may hide anything behind.

Are you using 'Picture Package' or 'Custom Package'?

Only PNG type ID plate graphics will allow transparency, although JPGs will work.

Regards. My System: Windows-11, Lightroom-Classic 15.0, Photoshop 27.0, ACR 18.0, Lightroom 9.0, Lr-iOS 10.4.0, Bridge 16.0 .

Thanks for the thoughts.

Have you tried changing the option [Render behind image] for the ID plate?

* I have tried both options but it only gives me the correct effect
when using "Render behind Image" so this is on.

Do any cells use a 'Photo Border' eg. a wide white photo border may hide
anything behind.

* I have no borders applied

Are you using 'Picture Package' or 'Custom Package'?

* It is using the "SINGLE Image / Contact Sheet" layout

Only PNG type ID plate graphics will allow transparency, although JPGs will
work.

* I have tried both PNG and JPG with no resolution

Annoying, and I sympathisize, but sorry I do not have any more suggestions. Keep bumping your question until someone may provide an answer.
