Problem with Panorama Merge

This is a problem I have never seen before.  I am merging 9 vertical images into a panorama.  The result I am getting is rather strange.  I am attaching a picture of the 9 images and one of the resulting panorama.  I am running Lightroom Classic 12.4 on Windows 11.

This question was also asked in the LightroomQueen forums. What I answered there is that I think this is a read error of one of the brackets.

I notice that you did not shoot in manual (exposure) mode. Your shutter speed varies (so aperture mode?). This can be problematic (not an absolute)

Also, I cannot tell just how much of an overlap you shot. Typically many go for 30%.

see:

That being said, it looks like the issue occurs between the third and fourth bracket, and those two are at the same shutter speed, aperture, ISO, and do look like a good 30% overlap. Odd. And what is with the color difference?

Can you replicate this issue with another set of shots?

Oh... and what happens if you attempt the merge in PS?

Thanks Johan.  There could be something wrong with one of the files.  When I include R23_0129.NEF into the merge, I have a problem.  I can merge the files on the left of this one and on the right of this one and there is no problem.  I just tried exporting the files as .psd files and importing them back in.  R23_0129.psd looks pretty screwed up.  I guess I'm out of luck.
