Question

Reset Crop using keyboard no longer works in Develop (CTRL + ALT + R)

In develop the keyboard shortcut CTRL + ALT + R does not reset the crop.

When using the menu (Settings > Reset Crop), the reset occurs as expected.

What is your language setting?

en?

from LrC /Help/System Info? :

Lightroom Classic version: 13.4
License: Creative Cloud
Language setting: en

If other than en, this could be a language code error at Adobe.

  1. Yes, language setting is en.
  2. I reset my preferences using the SHIFT + ALT keys at startup. Settings have been succesfully reset.
But: the problem persists. CTRL + ALT + R still doesn't reset the crop.
  3. I also disabled all plugins. No fix.

@YannigVdW, you have may a third-party utility grabbing that shortcut. (AMD's Adrenaline utility is notorious for grabbing shortcuts, but its shortcuts all start with Ctrl Shift.) As a quick first troubleshooting step, boot Windows into Safe Mode With Networking and run LR. If the shortcut now works, that indicates some background utility is grabbing the shortcut.

I found the culprit: Nvidia Overlay had a shortcut for CTRL + ALT + R.

I disabled this shortcut and now I can reset my crop again 🙂

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction!

I've test it on my machine and it works as it should.

Try to reset the LR preferences to the default settings: https://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom-classic/help/setting-preferences-lightroom.html

It's recommended to backup your preferences before you reset the preferences to the default settings:
