SDR Photos ony display properly in Library Module, even when HDR button is turned off in Develop

Windows 11 Pro. Lightroom Classic, latest update.

With the recent HDR updates in Lightroom, I can no longer see my previously edited SDR photos correctly displayed in the Develop Module, even with the HDR button turned off. My understanding was that SDR images would not display correctly in the Develop Module if the HDR button in the Develop Module was activated, but even with HDR off in the module, the tonality of my SDR images is highly distorted.

My question is, shouldn't the image look the same in the Library Module and the Develop module, if the HDR button in Develop is not active and the image being looked at is in SDR?

Yes, they should look the same. This may be a monitor profile issue. Make sure your monitor is not set to HDR, because your monitor profile may not support that and that might be causing this issue.

I do sometimes see a small difference between in Develop module and the Library module in images that I had edited in HDR and then decided to turn this off again (not in all of them). I see a slight clipping in the highlights when I look at them in the Develop module, but no clipping in the Library module. Nothing as drastic as what you see, however. I'm not sure what causes this.

Yep, this is all wrong. But it has nothing to do with the addition of HDR in the Treatment panel, nor the move of Auto (Tone) to the treatment panel (yes I know, not mentioned) nor, do I suspect the LrC upgrade. And it is way too much of a difference to be related to the way the Library Module displays colors as opposed to the Develop Module (that is slight).

Please show us the full screen of your Develop Module, Interested in the History Panel.

Hint: do you have an earlier state in the history panel selected?

P.S. I would advise, and recommend, in fact ask, that when taking a screenshot, then posting, that the display include the photo file name info as seen in your Library Module screenshot. Nice to be able to see that the same files are indeed selected.

Can you post a screenshot? I have no idea what a 'distorted tonality' is supposed to be.

So, for this image, before you selected to select the B&W treatment, did you select the HDR treatment AND accomplish some edits? Followed by changing to B&W treatment.
