I had the same issue a few people have mentioned above - not given the option to 'Delete from Disk' when in grid view.

This was because I was trying to delete them when viewing them in my Collections, not my Catalogue.

    Full workaround breakdown:
    - Select to view 'All Photographs' found in the 'Catalogue' panel on the left

    (then, same as mentioned above)

    - Highlight all the pics you want to delete and press 'X' to mark them as rejected

    - Press 'cmd' + 'delete' to delete all rejected photos

    - Select 'Delete from Disk' when prompted

Was having the same problem, even in grid view (second monitor). When in grid view on primary monitor I am able to select and delete multiple photos. Just fyi

The best way to do this is to mark the images as "denied". Select your image by hitting the "X" -key. so they are marked. Now click "CMD" and "delete" Button. Now they got deleted at once.

This should be an "IDEA" for developers - it really should work in loupe in library to delete multiple. It's not working...

is there anyway of changing this? if not i have to keep switching between library and develop.

Just to note, when i right-click i am able to delete multiple photos.

There's no way of changing the behaviour.

It's interesting that the right-click on the filmstrip works. I didn't expect it to.

Switching to/from Grid Mode is pretty quick: 'g' to go to Grid; 'd' to go back to Develop. So 4 keystrokes: g<delete>dd

Right click works because the context is that of the filmstrip. Simply clicking Delete is in the context of the active photo.

I am trying to delete from the disk using lightroom. I select multiple photos using the film strip at the bottom. This also affects other operations.

    Thks for hte reply

As Beat said, selecting multiple images in the film strip will not work for you. You have to select multiple images in the grid.

Also, only in Grid View are you able to affect multiple photos with an operation, like delete. If you're in Loupe View and select several photos in the film strip, only the most selected (the one shown in Loupe) will be deleted.

Where are you trying to delete from? A folder, collection etc?
