Vertical transform in preset applied to entire bracket

If I put a vertical (or auto, or one of the other 6 buttons at the top of the transform module) transform in a preset and then apply the preset to a bracketed set, will the transform apply to all of the bracketed images in the same way, so they will still be aligned, or might the transform be different for each image and foul up their alignment.

If the preset was created with just the option Transform > Upright Mode checked (and no other  Transform option checked), then when the preset is applied to multiple photos, the auto mode (Auto, Level, Vertical, Full) will be recomputed for each photo.

But if you create a preset with Transform > Upright Transforms also checked, then the preset will apply the specific transforms that were computed for the photo from which you made the preset (probably not what you want).

If you want the set of bracketed photos to all get the same exact transform as computed for the first photo in the set:

1. Select the photos and go to Develop.

2. In the Transform panel, select one of the auto modes.

3. Do Sync Settings and check the options Transform > Upright Mode and Transform > Upright Transforms.

(And yes, someone will chime in and say, "Use Auto Sync". But Auto Sync is dangerous and often ends in tears.)

Thank you. Pretty much what I thought. I have been using Auto Sync and Guided, which seem to be reliable, but I wanted to find a faster way. sigh.

If I understand you correctly, then you do want the transform on all images to be exactly the same, so not recalculated for each image. In that case use whatever method on the first image, and then use sync or copy/paste with Transform - Upright Transforms checked, not just Upright Mode checked.
