Workflow for Auto-Generating and Inserting AI Descriptions into Metadata
I'm looking for a workflow that can streamline the process of reviewing and tagging large photo libraries — specifically one that uses AI to automatically generate image descriptions and then inserts those descriptions into the Description field of the metadata (IPTC/XMP), ideally during the post-shoot culling and processing stage.
I process my shoots in Lightroom Classic, but am comfortable in the entire Adobe ecosystem if there is a solution outside of LC. So far, everything I’ve found involves manually generating or copying descriptions from external tools and pasting them into Bridge or Lightroom, which becomes unmanageable with large volumes.
Is there a way to:
Use AI to generate objective, sentence-style descriptions (not just keywords)?
Automatically insert those into the IPTC Description or Title fields (not just Keywords)?
Keep the workflow efficient and compatible with Adobe Bridge or Lightroom?
Ideally the workflow would support batch processing.
If there is not currently a way to do this, do we know if it's currently a feature being worked on for a future release?
