Not sure if this would come under workflow or technique.

I use LR purely for amateur pictures.

W means often many weeks between each use, so donot have huge familiarity With LR.

Came across this link:

Not after the software, but the idea of a ‘printable step-by-step editing checklist’

Would be a great help .... anybody aware of one for LR ?

Optimum sequence, when to use ‘Alt-key’ options, etc.

I have watched many tutorial videos .. and they are good, but a one page sheet Would be very helpful.

Wow, I have a book on Lightroom that is 513 pages and it does not have every tip!

Just type Lightroom Workflow into Googly and you will sure get plenty of links like these-

    when to use ‘Alt-key’ options,

Most I have learnt from forums like this one, and some reading.

I started my own 'Cheat Sheet' word document of 'Tips and Hints'- up to page 129 now.

A wonderful photographer, Josh Holko, has a blog to which I subscribe. He put a cheat sheet on his blog so here is a link.

By the way, Josh is also a photo educator and a great photo trip leader...!

Yes - those are cheat sheets to help with keyboard shortcuts.

The only step by step was Kelby's book on Lightroom where he went through 7 or so steps on each type of image.

I agree with dj_Paige - try going from top to bottom on the right side panel in the develop module.

You may go back to some settings as you go - there is no absolute rule or right way to edit.

The only suggested "rule" is to view your image at 100% when you apply sharpening.

I am not aware of such a thing, and furthermore, the edits you might apply to a landscape might be very different than the edits that might be applied to a city photograph. It's all dependent on the subject matter.

In general the advice is to go top to bottom in the right side panels of the Develop Module, but sometimes you have to return to the top and adjust some of the sliders a second time.

The best advice I have is to keep doing this, and you will get better at it.

I understand your comments ... but several other programs offer such a ‘cheat sheet’

It’s about the optimum sequence ... not specific settings.

    I’ll continue to look
