LR 6 changing keyword hierarchy

Hello

I have accidentally put some words into hierarchies back to front ........ eg put Africa under Uganda instead of the other way round.

It will not let me drag them the other way round.

How can I correct them?

Thanks

    Just to reinforce the difference:

    • When you are positioned to drop something inside one of those items, that whole item is highlighted.
    • When you are positioned to drop in between two such items in the list, the thin dividing line thickens into a wider bar.

You should be able to drag and drop keywords to elsewhere in the keyword list. You can take Africa out from under Uganda, and then drag it to a spot that is higher in the hierarchy.

    Thanks for your help.

But what I can't see is where can I drag Africa to so that it does not then go lower down in some other hierarchy? There is no blank line that I can move Africa to so that it will be the highest level in a hierarchy.

You can drag to the highest level, and then the line between two top level hierarchical keywords becomes slightly thicker. That's when you let go of the mouse button.
