P: Cursor is replaced by Zoom tool intermittently.

Liebe Community,

Nico

As Rikk noted above, this was fixed in the December update (version 8.1). Please make sure you're on the latest version.

Any news here or do you just don't care?

I have a similar problem. In Zoom mode I can't use any pencil tool. Lightroom is unusable, really bad. Sonoma 14.14.1, Mac Book Air 13

I've got the exact same problem. Pointer changes to zoom tool and does not go back. M4 Sequoia 15.1
This is really unfortunate, since I just moved everything from LRC to lightroom cloud.
LR is currently NOT USABLE because of this. Adobe: Fix it please! I'm eyeballing C1 again and I think it's time to finally do it.

Greetings all,

A new update for Adobe Photography Products has been released.  The December update contains an update for this issue.

If you do not see the update in your Creative Cloud Application, you can refresh it by hitting [Ctrl/Cmd]+[Alt/Opt]+[ R ].

Note: It may take up to 24 hours for your update to be available in your Creative Cloud app.

Thank you for being so patient.

Any ETA on that update? I'm having the same issue as everyone else with the magnify tool overtaking the cursor. I'm on an M1 MBP.

I have clients waiting -_-

Yes, same for me. I keep restarting LR, because sometimes the cursor (and mouse action) stops working as required by the selected tool. For the healing tool (for instance, bu it works with most other like reframe), the displayed cursors can be the hand cursor, instaed of the circle, and clicking works as the hand, not as the healing tool. The cursod handling seems completely broken. Restarting is the only option. Another example : on the light curve view, the handles sometimes disappear. The only option is to restart LR or frantically move the mouse until they reappear. This happens on my Mac Studio and Intel iMac (LR 8.0, macOS Sequoia 15.1 (24B83)). Oh! And also, my Intel Mac always eventually crashes if harware acceleration is enabled (from what I read here and there it may be a buggy Apple graphics card driver). It happend also on my Mac Studio once (but only once, it's much more stable)

When I try to use crop or mask tool, I am only able to use hand tool. This hasn't happened before the most recent update. I disable graphics processor as suggested, but no help. I was able to use the tools for a short while after a computer restart.
