P: Issue with Guided Tutorials getting stuck

I've been going through some of the guided tutorials built into Lightroom. Frequently, they get 'stuck' when they go to add a second mask. It will get as far as telling you to click to create it, but the guide points never show up and there seems to be no way to get on to the next step in the tutorial. Clicking the right arrow will just loop it back to the curren step. Guessing and inserting the mask you think they were going for doesn't work. This is very annoying as often the step I'm most interested in seeing comes later in the tutorial. This has happened in the tutorials "Rescuing a Dark Phone Shot" and "Straightening the Golden Gate Bridge" among many others. 

 

I've got Lightroom 8.3.1 running on Windows Home 11 version 24H2.

  • In Lightroom, go to Help > System Info, then copy and paste the contents into a text file and attach it here.

  • If possible, a short video showing what happens when the tutorial gets stuck would be incredibly helpful.

I have the same issue but I cannot select System Info because it is greyed out.
