P: No left nav bar on Lightroom iPad after importing photos from Camera

1. Lightroom version v. 7.4.1 730D5A/46

2. iPad Pro 11 2018;    iPadOS version: 15.5

3. Reproduce Steps: import photos from Camera to an album; after importing, click view in the pop up dialogue , then Lightroom stucks in the album view without the left nav bar to switch albums. Restart or update the Lightroom doesn't solve this issue.

4. Expect left nav bar is still there; Actual no left nav bar. See attached photo for the problematic UI.

please help as this is blocking my postedit workflow.

@Lasvice25655844qk2c

I merged your post with an existing thread for tracking.

A fix for this should be released in Sept.  Please do not uninstall the app as your subscription seems to be based in China, and accounts there do no sync.

If you uninstall/re-install to recover from this problem, please know that your files inside Lightroom would be lost.  I recommend you make a full backup of your device if you wish to try uninstall and re-install anyway.

I am using Lightroom on iPad exclusively (v 7.4.2), after deleting some photos, the panel on the left which contains the list of albums and folders disappeared, I don't know how to bring it back, can anyone help me with it?

I know the albums still exist there because when I try to move or copy a photo to a album, the dialog can show albums correctly, just no that panel anymore.

Well, I think you have stumped me. I've haven't seen this happen before. It looks like you posted your questions a few hours ago. Have you been able to fix it? If so, how? Does quitting Lightroom and opening it again help?

Best,

Thanks for reply!
I've tried reopen Lightroom and reboot iPad, no luck.

I wanted try to uninstall but I don't know if this operation deletes all my photos, so I gave up.

But I found a temporary workaround, when turn Lightroom to a slide over window, the back button shows up, which can bring me back to the "Library" and the albums come back.

Hope this bug can be fixed in next updates.

Thank you very much for taking the time to report this.  Once we realized this is somehow specific to the region China, then we were able to reproduce.  I will convert this post to a bug, to set this to Acknowledged, and will ask the team to investigate as soon as possible.
