Edits Failing to Save Lr Mobile (iPad & iPhone)

This issue has been happening intermittently on both my iPad and phone versions of Lr Mobile. I will edit a photo and hit the back button to go back to the album. I will notice photo I just edited will look odd in the album view. It's zoomed in further than my edit's crop was. I'll go to it and it will load for a second with the edits and then totally revert back to its original state. Lighting, color, cropping, masks, everything! Go to versions and there is no history. Just have to start all over. 

There is no rhyme or reason to it. Like I said, it happens on both the phone app and the iPad app. Does it on somethings and not on others. It's getting really frustrating.

I got your message, thanks!  I replied 1:1, with a couple more questions.

"I just went back and re-edited again and the edits stuck that time."  The LR app updates for June were meant to address some edit-sync issues, so "now works OK" is the behavior we're hoping for.  So it was disappointing to see you still has issues with LRD 8.4/LR iOS 10.4.  The log you previous sent in confirmed that there were 2 images that had edit revisions that were not available for LR iOS to download.

 

The next time you encounter this, could you try resetting all edits via the Undo menu (Reset > All, or Reset > Import) and see if from that point forward the image can take new edits?  I wonder if this might override some corruption that may be leftover from previous versions of the app.

Just happened again. I added the image to the private album I sent you. There is no reset options shown. The reset options are greyed out.

I have no updates at this time.  The issue is still active with the team, pending resolution.

I'll update when I have news or any new questions.

@Charlie.D I'm following up again. This has happened 3 times in the last 24 hours. Twice in the last hour. I've added the images to the album you have access to.

Hello @mikemoriendi 

Thanks for reaching out.  I added supplementary notes to the bug that is tracking this issue.  We reproduced it once in house, but developers haven't been able to reproduce this easily and that has slowed debugging.  It is still scheduled for ongoing investigation.

The next time you notice this, please put the asset in an album/collection, and direct message me the share URL.  The developers could use some fresh data, and aren't able to reproduce this problem on their own.

I honestly don't know what else I can provide that I haven't already. It would just be more photos that this happened to. You said on August 8th that it was duplicated but not easily.
