I don't get it. They say there's a free version but only with a subscription? That's not free. I just want camera controls and not Cloud storage. Is thatan option? How can I downgrade. There's no info on that at all.

Lightroom mobile for Android or iOS is free to use, including the Lightroom in-app camera. Certain premium editing features, or server features like sync do require a paid subscription. Editing raw images from a DSLR is a paid feature, but you are free to edit jpg, heic and dng images that Apple native and LR in-app cameras capture.
If you do a web search like "lightroom mobile free vs paid" there are a number of pages and reviews on the web to help you learn more.
Regarding your account, I see no subscription. Also, a subscription can only be started if you very specifically begin paid service. Lightroom will not start a subscription without your permission. So I added the 7 day free trial on IOS mobile app. It does sign you up for a paid subscription charged to apple account. There is no way to downgrade to a free version. The reason I don't have a subscription is I went to subscriptions on my iPhone and ended it quickly before it rolled over to a reaccuring yearly. There is no info on using the app for free at all. Link a page. You guys should be ashamed. Most comments are from people who got charged by either not realizing a app that says free on the App Store comes with a charge or other people who somehow figured out how to get the free version and accidentally used a premium feature and bam they got a bill from apple to their apple account. I have read world recent experience because all this happened in the last couple of days.

The app signed me up for the subscription version with no way to downgrade to the free version. The page you linked is all about upgrading to premium but not a word on how to get to the free version.
