Lightroom is not importing the images showing error 'Previously Added'

New Here ,
Aug 09, 2022 Aug 09, 2022

Added 214 photos to an album, but only 202 transferred. When I try to add the missing 12, Lr characterizes them as Previously Added. But I cannot see or work on them.

Hi there,

Sorry to hear about the trouble with Lightroom. We're here to help.

Which version of Lightroom application and Windows are you using? How are you trying to import the images? Is it happening with a specific file type?

If Lightroom says 'previously added,' then that should mean the photos are still in Lightroom. Check if you don't have any active filters.

Can you please try to rename any two of them and import them? If you are using Lightroom Classic, please go to File Handling and uncheck the "Don't Import Suspected Duplicates" option.

You can try resetting Lightroom's preferences.

  1.  Press and hold the Shift + Alt keys.
  2. While holding down the keys, launch Lightroom. The following dialog box appears: Reset Lightroom Preferences. Click Yes.

Please backup your presets prior to resetting the preferences.

Let us know how it goes.

Thanks!

Ranjisha
