Hello, I am using the recent 8.50 Lightroom update, and it is continually crashing on 2 different Android devices. Is anyone else having the same issue?
Same here. It keeps freezing on my Samsung galaxy tab s8 ultra and s22 ultra. It worked on both perfectly before the update. I do like the new interface though, especially with lens correction choice. Very handy for manual fisheye lenses.
I removed the app from my Samsung S10, reinstalled, and it seems to be running ok. Perhaps the update to an existing install is buggy, but a complete new 8.50 installation is solid. We'll see
The engineering team watching this thread have requested the following:
Restart your device
Set a screen recording
Follow a workflow that results in a crash
Obtain and send diagnostic log
Post a copy of your screen recording in this thread.
Android Log File
Open Settings Panel, long press on the top left “Lr” icon. This will enable a “Send Feedback” button on the settings panel.
Now perform the usual tasks in LrA for few minutes and then please reopen the Settings Panel and tap on “Send Feedback” from settings panel. This will open up your email client after few moments and attach the logs.
Still that's not how it should work, setting up lr mobile fresh with locally stored albums is a job that can take days, nothing I want to do after every update.
I followed the instructions above and sent the feedback file. In common with others people replying to this thread, the problem occurs on when I go to "all photos" and not in any albums. Attached is a screen recording of opening up LR, going to an album and being able to perform any normal action. Then, when I go to the same photo in all photos, LR freezes and then restarts.
Installed the newest update one week ago and my lightroom has been trash ever since! I was limping through edits continually having pop ups saying lightroom isn't responding and given 3 options..close app, wait or send feedback. I've tried all, nothing worked. Now I can't edit a single image! I'm at a standstill now and it's during my busiest season! I use lightroom android on my tablet and it's version 8.5. I can't uninstall as I did that once and lost all images already uploaded. HELP!!
You seem to be having the same problem as a number of other people. I sent logs and screen a screen recording of what is going on, so perhaps they will fix the issue. In the meanwhile, here are some things you can try; if you have the Windows version of Lightroom (not LR Classic), try that, it seems to be working okay for me. If not, then move the photosyou want to edit to an album, and only edit from within an album since it only seems to be an issue if you are working from"All Photos". Let us know how you get on
Same issue here since update 8.50. Reinstalling the app, reauthenticating, and resyncing the photo library, resolves the issue temporarily before the app becomes unresponsive.
It seems to occur when viewing or switching between images in the Lightroom tab and is not limited to certain file types (it has occurred with JPG, HEIF, DNG, RAF). I would wager it is related to Adobe sync service.
I have replicated the issue across 7 devices running Android versions 10, 12 and 13.
Yes, same here. Galaxy Tab S8, again, latest version, works for a few images then screen freezes, like others have uninstall and re-installed. Very frustrating although new interface I like. Adobe, please help us poor frustrated souls!!
