Is anyone experiencing download issues currently? The process begins to download and then arrives at a point about a quarter way of the downloads then seems to start freezing up. If I go individually through each picture it allows for the download but as a group I'm having issues. Anyone know what it is causing it?

Thanks again!  We were able to reproduce the problem with images from your specific camera.  Other raw images did not have the same issue.

I converted this from a regular post to a bug for tracking.  Setting this to "Acknowledged" while we wait for Dev's investigation

A fix has been implemented and will be included in an upcoming update to Lightroom Mobile. Thank you for reporting this and for your patience!

There has been a noticeable decline in the performance of Lightroom on my iPad Pro over the past few weeks. Issues include:

  1. Syncing - It takes forever and a day longer than it used to.

  2. Exporting - For some reason exports get stuck now on a random file. It’s beyond frustrating, it just sits there with this stupid message “rendering - this may take some time”. This will be on like a random file, like say file 3 of 30. You have no way of telling what is the problem and lightroom just sits there offering no help. So I have to now go through and export each one individually!

  3. General edits and the like are just so unresponsive now. Something relatively simple, like rotating the image, there’ are big old gaping pauses now and it’s death by a thousand cuts to my workflow!

Seriously, what happened? I wish Adobe would stop working on useless generative AI projects that no one asked for but are valuable internally for someone's promotion packet and actually just stabilise the app!

Forgot to add I'm on the latest iPad Pro with the M4 chipset. This thing should be (and was!) blazingly fast with Lightroom but now the workflow is just so broken. Also yes I am using the latest version of Lightroom and yes my iPad Pro is up to date, has sufficient storage space, etc

I saw this post a few days ago and.... I was dreading using Lightroom on my iPad.

And also maybe thought that it would be the first release this year where I wouldn't have any bugs.

Just tried exporting 11 photos I took over the week-end.

It's always getting stuck on the 6th one, no clue why.

Also don't know, could be my batch of photos on the beach but... Generative Remove no longer works.

It either leaves a huge ghost of the object/person, or replaces it by another person...

I'm so tired of coming here, because I literally cannot finish my edits, after every release.

When you say Download, do you mean Export?  Or are you talking about Store Locally for albums?  I'm not really clear on what you want to do.

Oh, yes. Exporting photos to my library seems to begin but then continually hits a point that it freezes. Sorry for the confusion.

Can you share more details?  Are the images downloading from cloud storage, or do you already have the files available locally?  If you're not sure, can you import 10 new images from your device camera roll, and then try exporting them?

Also, what are your specific export settings used?  If I use Export As... DNG, or Export As.. JPG Largest Dimensions @90% quality, I can successfully export 30 or more images.  Are you enabling Content Credentials?

Perhaps sharing a screen recording of what you're doing could help us see the issue.

Hi,

I'm able to import to Lightroom. The exporting on my iPad is not working. It seems to begin and about 10 to 18 pictures in the exporting to my iPad freezes. I'm exporting in jpeg from raw being the original file. Once it is stalled it won't function any longer. This might just be a problem on the iPad pro.

Large files (have plenty of memory on iPad)

Thanks in advance.

Thanks for these notes.  I am trying to reproduce this so the Developer team can investigate.  What kind of raw images are you working with? (from what camera make/model)

The reason I mentioned import is that I wanted you to see if you can export new images that are definitely still in your app cache vs having to download from the cloud -- can you share any info about this, if your images are local or in the cloud?  (fwiw, I've tried both with no problem)

The raw files are local. They were imported from the camera directly into Lightroom.

Thanks for all the details.  I wasn't able to reproduce this with files from my own camera, but once I downloaded sample files from your camera model, and applied some edits then I was able to reproduce.  I'll get a bug logged soon.

As a work-around, I was able to successfully select and export at full resolution all the image using a web browser.  Try this yourself by signing into your account at https://lightroom.adobe.com

By the way, what iPad model and iPad OS are you using?

Hallo zusammen,

Besten Dank schon mal.

That's an issue which starts to be reported many times here and elsewhere...

There's clearly a batch export issue, where Lightroom will completely freeze randomly on an image.

Mentioned here as well: https://community.adobe.com/t5/lightroom-ecosystem-cloud-based-discussions/lightroom-app-performance...

Funny, I received a notification of a post from an Adobe employee on the other post, to get more info.. when I clicked on the link, nowhere to be found, and when I PMed her, no response.

@Charlie.D when it happened:

- Local files. I always check "Store Locally" otherwise the app is just plain unusable

- Leica Q2 or SL2 DNG files

- Original files, not denoised/enhanced

- Export was at 4096px JPG 80% sRGB or 90%

It basically froze with this dialog:

IMG_2734.jpeg
Waited a few minutes, it wasn't recovering.

Restarted twice, same thing.

Only after a hard restart of the application, I was able to do the export once again.

It doesn't appear very often to be fair, I can't really find a set of actions that would reproduce it consistently.

@AlexJz

Thanks for the great notes!  It's this kind of detail that really helps developers investigate.

I'll follow up here when I have some news to share about this matter.

Yes my iPad Pro started doing this recently too.  It has become very slow and won't export the edited photos to my iPad . It freezes and says rendering.  Everything is up to date and I've plenty of space on the iPad. It hasn't done this before but now it's every time . I use Sony a9iii.  No issues previously .

I’ve been facing issues with Adobe Lightroom on my iPad Pro since the update about a month ago. Previously, I could export batches of 40 images as JPEGs by downloading to device without any problems. Now, I’m lucky if I can export 8 images at a time. Even then, the process often stalls, and I end up having to export images one by one. This has significantly slowed down my workflow.

I’m working with RAW DNG files from a Leica M11-P. My setup includes Lightroom version 10.0.2 (build 340050/173) on an iPad Pro M4 running iOS 18.1.

Has anyone else experienced this problem since the update? Are there any fixes or workarounds to improve batch exporting? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Turning the iPad off completely and then restarting it seems to allow me one large batch. Although it seems lately I've been able to close Lightroom and restart it to do small 10 to 20 files. Hope that helps a bit.

When im done editing raw files and i try to export them, for some reason some photos just get stuck at "rendering - this may take a while". I tried reinstalling the app, re syncing all photos, creating a new album then saving it locally and then exporting all photos in the album, but nothing fixed the issue. Export still get stuck here. Can someone help please?
