Check out the in-app community

Did you know that there is a community within the Lightroom apps themselves? There you can follow other photographers, build a profile, and share your photos/edits! Let's take a quick peek at what you can do now! Note: some features may not be available on all platforms.

Welcome to Discover!

In the Discover tab, you'll find Interactive Edits; these edits, created by your fellow Lightroom editors, let you see the before, after, and even the editing process. In most cases, you can even download a preset of these edits or even edit the image in your style! See a photographer you like? Follow and like their work by clicking Follow the heart.

  • For You curates photos into categories: Daily inspiration, Featured, Trending, Get Inspired, and Popular Categories.
  • Featured content is found here. You can browse based on categories.
  • The New tab will highlight the newest photos uploaded to Discover.
  • Following will curate photos from photographers you already follow.
  • Remixes are photos that have been designated as Remixable by other creators. Find out more here. (Currently only on Desktop)

❷  Set up your profile

Before you start sharing your edits, set up your profile! You can access your profile through Discover > Profile Image. You can also customize your profile by clicking on  Screen Shot 2022-06-10 at 8.46.44 AM.pngYou'll be able to link your social media accounts, write a bio, and add a profile and background image.

  • 'Save as Preset' is automatially set to allow, you can toggle it off if you would like here. This allows your peers to download a preset of the edits you made to the shared photo. You can also turn on "Include location info" here.
  • If you would like other to Remix your images, toggle the slider on here.
  • When you're ready click "Share."

The most interesting thing I "discovered" in Lightroom has to be the Discover tab and feature! A community where we can regularly find inspiration, where we can learn new editing techniques from others, where we can save presets, remix, and share our own photographs, as well as where we can learn from one another!

Love your thoughts, and I am so happy to hear that @Ebuka Mordi. I'm sure the Lightroom team will be extremely excited to hear that as well. ❤️ I continue to find new photographers, styles, and techniques I didn't even know existed. Discover has for sure expanded my knowledge.
